东北亚地区：中国大陆的入境接待人数下降2%；而中国台北（25%）、韩国（11%）、香港和澳门特别行政区（分别为8%和3%）、以及日本（2%）的入境人数均有上升。值得注意的是，日本自2008年7月以来首次取得2%的入境人数增长。在上述因素的共同带动下，东北亚地区国际入境旅游人数整体增长2%。 南亚地区：马尔代夫（7%）、尼泊尔（8%）和斯里兰卡（20%）的入境旅游上行趋势依然强劲。而印度的入境游客人数却出现1%的下滑。受此影响，南亚地区的入境人数同比增长率仅为2%。 11月，太平洋地区的国际入境旅游人数稳步增长1%。其中，澳大利亚（3%）、新西兰（0.3%）和关岛（2%）均略有增长；然而，夏威夷的入境接待数据仍有1%的下滑。 受加拿大入境旅游下降11%的拖累，美洲地区国际入境旅游人数继续着3%的降幅。 PATA战略情报中心主任林培锋（Kris Lim）表示：“2009年末旅游需求的持续回升，标示着我们正在逐步收复失地。
09年1月至11月间，亚太地区累计入境游客人数同比降幅已缩减至3%。目前已掌握的去年12月最新统计数据显示，亚太地区许多目的地的入境旅游明显回升。面对这振奋人心的消息，我们有理由对今年的国际入境旅游市场寄予更高期望。”
