亚太旅游协会（PATA）联合其会员——北京兴旅国际会展有限公司，于12月16日共同举办PATA中国尽责旅游论坛（CRTF）。作为中国国际古城古镇古村博览会的亮点，论坛将在北京国家会议中心隆重召开。
PATA中国尽责旅游论坛旨在保护和传承中国古村镇的历史文化遗产，通过尽责可持续的方式推动古村镇的旅游开发。
论坛将讨论大众旅游对古村镇及其居民造成的威胁，重点揭示尽责旅游发展为目的地创造的福祉。当前的旅行趋势表明，游客倾向于通过尽责旅行的方式，体验原汁原味的本土文化，亲切自然地与当地居民交流互动。
届时，国内外的业界精英和专家学者将齐聚北京，共同探讨尽责旅游的发展路径，并就目的地景区景点的开发和管理分享真知灼见。论坛还将探讨践行科学发展与可持续发展战略，深度发掘文化资产的经济价值，进而为旅游目的地探索最优发展模式提供有益的平台。
PATA首席执行官贵马田（Martin Craigs）表示：“中国旅游业持续快速发展，中国在绿色新能源领域的研发力度不断加大，PATA尽责旅游论坛在中国举办正逢其时。权衡旅游发展带来的机遇与挑战至关重要，这正是本次论坛的意义所在。”
PATA大中华区主任常红表示：“目前，中国现存800年以上历史的古村镇800余个。我们希望通过举办论坛，推动古村镇的尽责旅游发展，令古村镇更好地向国际和国内游客展示其丰富的历史文化遗产。”
本届论坛将由CCTV英文频道财经新闻主播 Deidre Wang-Morris主持。多位业界领袖和专家学者受邀出席论坛，演讲嘉宾主要包括：“绿色地球”机构（GreenEarth）主任杰弗里•利普曼（Geoffrey Lipman）、DestiCorp集团首席执行官安娜•波洛克（Anna Pollock）、WildChina公司创始人张玫、湄公河旅游协调办公室执行主任梅森•弗洛伦斯（Mason Florence）、老挝国家旅游与酒店管理学院首席技术顾问彼得•西蒙（Peter Semone）、联合国教科文组织驻华代表处文化处项目官员李江萍等等。论坛还将邀请资深业者分享酒店和旅游开发的最佳案例。
本次论坛为期一日，由PATA北京办事处和北京兴旅国际会展有限公司协力组织筹备。PATA中国分会成立仪式也将于论坛期间举行，时代一峰（Dragon Trail）联合创始人兼总裁晏子（Jens Thraenhart）将出任中国分会主席。
