9月9日，随着为期三天的商务洽谈环节的结束，2011PATA旅游交易会圆满落幕，也标志着2012年马尼拉PATA交易会（PTM2012）筹备工作的全面启动。
对此，PATA理事会主席锡麟（Hiran Cooray）表示：“我们刚刚在新德里度过了忙碌而充实的一周。明年，继1978年作为亚太地区首个区域性旅游专业展会在菲律宾首次举办后，PATA交易会将重回马尼拉，这令我们倍感欣喜。”
在9日晚的菲律宾旅游部招待晚宴上，旅游部副部长丹尼尔·考布斯（Daniel Corpuz）向与会代表发出了盛情邀请。他指出，PATA选择马尼拉举办PTM2012，充分体现了亚太地区对菲律宾会展组织和接待能力的十足信心。
考布斯表示：“通过主办PATA交易会，我们得以向全球业者展示菲律宾举办大型国际展会活动的能力与优势。目前，私营部门在旅游基建方面的投资力度不断加大，正是实地考察、了解菲律宾全新的旅游产品、会议场馆和旅游接待设施的最佳时机。”
历史上，菲律宾曾多次主办PATA的重要活动，其中包括第29届PATA年会暨研讨会（1980年）、PATA理事会会议（1989年）、第47届PATA年会（1998年），以及PATA世界分会大会和理事会会议（2002年）等。
1978年，马尼拉举办的首届PATA旅游交易会仅有300余名代表出席。此后30多年间，PATA旅游交易会在保持B2B专业展性质的同时，不断发展壮大，凭借千名代表的年均参展人数在亚太地区名目繁多的业界展会中保持领先。
PATA主席锡麟对本届交易会致以了高度评价：“本次交易会气氛友好热烈，与会代表获益良多。我们衷心感谢东道主印度政府旅游部的鼎力支持和杰出贡献。在展会组织筹备中，PATA与印度的公共部门和私营企业积极沟通，密切协作，出色地完成了任务。以此为契机，明年在协助会员扩展业务的同时，PATA将与东道主菲律宾一道缔造又一个里程碑。”
2012PATA旅游交易会将于2012年9月25-28日在菲律宾首都马尼拉隆重举行。作为官方会场的SMX会展中心毗邻多家知名酒店和公交枢纽，是菲律宾规模最大的私营会议场馆，也是该国会奖产业的旗舰设施。
