4月间，南亚地区的入境旅游同比激增24%，南亚的许多目的地也都记录了双位数的增长，例如斯里兰卡（67%）、尼泊尔（34%）、马尔代夫（32%）和印度（18%），主要归功于欧洲和北美入境旅游的强势复苏，以及亚洲和中东客源市场的持续活跃。

日本国家旅游局公布的最新数据显示，2011年5月，日本的入境和出境游客人数下滑较前几个月有所减缓，显现出微弱的复苏信号。
林培锋补充说：“我们相信，日本旅游将在今年下半年逐步出现更多的复苏迹象。”
PATA认为，2011年1-4月亚洲区域内的国际客流呈现双位数增长，依然是推动亚太地区入境旅游的主要动力。太平洋地区和欧洲，特别是法国和俄罗斯，也持续助推亚太地区的旅游业发展。
