亚太旅游协会（PATA）日前发布的初步数据显示，2011年2月，亚太地区[1]国际入境游客人数同比增长5%。农历春节假期比上年提前一周，在一定程度上带动了旅行需求的增加。
南亚凭借15%的入境旅游增幅，在二月份继续领跑亚太地区。其中，2011年板球世界杯的两个主办国——印度和斯里兰卡的入境增幅最为显著（均为15%）。马尔代夫（13%）和尼泊尔（13%）也表现强劲。
二月东南亚地区的入境旅行需求高涨，入境接待量同比增长10%。东南亚所辖目的地多数呈现双位数增长。其中，缅甸（29%）、柬埔寨（22%）和越南（22%）的涨幅位列前三。
东北亚地区二月的入境旅游大幅放缓，同比增长3%，但额外增加的入境人数达140万人次。其中，中国台湾增长迅速，其余目的地则相对稳健，同比增幅从2%（中国大陆、香港特别行政区和日本）至5%（澳门特别行政区）不等。
太平洋地区的入境旅游人数在二月间增长4%。其中，澳大利亚和新西兰均与去年同期持平，瓦努阿图和夏威夷分别增长71%与12%，而马绍尔群岛和北马里亚纳则出现了双位数的下滑。
PATA战略情报中心主任林培锋（Kris Lim）指出：“2011年头两个月，亚太地区的国际入境旅游人数同比增长6个百分点。继去年的强势复苏后，预计今年的入境旅行需求增长将有所放缓。亚太地区的经济基本面向好，增长的积极态势有望持续，但在短期内，日本强震、海啸与核危机，以及中东与北非地区的政治动荡仍将对旅行需求造成负面影响。”
日本国家旅游局（JNTO）公布的最新数据显示，三月造访日本和日本的出境旅行需求均出现大幅下滑，降幅分别为50%和18%。鉴于日本大部地区并未受到地震及其次生灾害的影响，该国的旅游接待量有望于六月以后快速恢复到正常水平。
林培锋补充说：“中东地区每年为亚太目的地输送游客近300万人次。该市场相对较小，但在过去五年中却保持高速增长。今年，中东的动荡局势一定程度上影响了亚太地区的国际入境旅游发展。例如，2011年3月，中东游客首选目的地之一的泰国就出现了15%的同比下滑。然而，考虑到市场动力因素和下半年日本和中东市场的回暖，我们对亚太地区入境旅游近期内的持续增长仍抱有信心。”
