在亚太旅游协会（PATA）欢庆成立60周年之际，国家航空运输协会（IATA）理事长兼首席执行官乔瓦尼·比西尼亚尼（Giovanni Bisignani）致贺PATA，并对协会为亚太地区旅游业做出的突出贡献致以高度评价。 比西尼亚尼表示：“六十年来，PATA在推动亚太地区旅游高速健康发展方面始终发挥着核心作用。” 亚太地区已超越北美，成为全球最大航空市场。据此，比西尼亚尼对本地区航空业的未来发展表示乐观。“国际航协致力于促进航空业沿着更为安全、环保和高收益的方向持续发展。发达的航空运输提振旅游发展，进而创造广泛的经济效益”，比西尼亚尼评价说。 他同时期待国际航协和PATA携手并肩，共同迈入下一个六十年。
