2010年9月15日，2010PATA旅游交易会（PTM2010）在澳门威尼斯人®~度假村~酒店隆重开幕，共吸引近千名买家、参展商和媒体代表参会。 开幕式由亚太旅游协会（PATA）主席锡麟（Hiran Cooray）主持。澳门特别行政区行政长官崔世安阁下（HE Dr Chui Sai-on）、澳门政府社会文化司司长张裕（Cheong U）、澳门特别行政区政府旅游局局长安栋梁（Joao Manuel Costa Antunes），以及PATA首席执行官格雷格•达菲尔（Greg Duffell）等众多贵宾与代表出席仪式。

PATA旅游交易会是亚太地区最具专业水准和影响力的旅行签约与交流展。今年，530位参展商来自38个目的地国家及地区的295个机构；代表269个机构的303位买家分别来自53个客源市场；媒体代表共计152人，来自13个国家及地区。首次参会的买家和展商所占比例分别为31%和23%。 交易会期间的主要活动包括澳门特别行政区政府在渔人码头为与会代表特设的招待晚宴、澳门旅游局赞助2010PATA金奖午宴暨颁奖典礼、以及印度政府旅游局招待晚宴等。与会代表还有机会观赏斥资2.5亿美元、由享誉全球的著名制作人朗哥德·拉戈（Franco Dragone）精心打造的水上汇演——“水舞间”的预演。 作为交易会期间的首个教育培训活动，以“应对旅游与酒店业人力资源挑战：促进学界与业界交流合作”为主题的PTM2010战略研讨会于9月14日在澳门旅游学院举行。研讨会由香港理工大学酒店旅游管理学院与澳门旅游学院联合举办，成功吸引到160多名旅游专业学生与业界专家参会。其它与培训相关的活动包括“打造梦幻体验”和“旅行与旅游业企业社会责任”午餐研讨会。 澳门特别行政区政府旅游局局长安栋梁对本届交易会给予了高度评价。
