4-5月，东南亚地区的入境人数增幅均达8%以上，增速虽较一季度有所放缓，但依旧强劲。增速微弱减缓的原因，可以归结为受4月火山灰蔓延的影响，以及泰国政局动荡对该国入境旅游的冲击（泰国4、5月的入境旅游分别下降0.2%与13%）。除泰国以外，东南亚地区其它目的地的入境旅游的上升势头依旧显著。总体而言，该次区域2010年前五个月的入境人数同比上涨13%。 作为入境人数最多的次区域，东北亚地区34月份入境旅游保持7%的平稳增长；5月，增幅跃升至19%，这得益于中国大陆与港、澳、台两岸三地间客流量的攀升。
此外，日本入境人数的大幅增加同样值得关注，4月和5月分别记录了26%和49%的增幅。经历了长时间萧条的日本入境旅游正处在恢复期。09年12月以来，日本的入境人数已连续6个月保持两位数的增幅。总体而言，东北亚地区1-5月的入境人数同比增加10%。 在所有的次区域中，只有太平洋地区4月与5月的入境人数呈整体下滑态势。其中，受火山灰抑制欧洲入境客流影响，澳大利亚和新西兰的国际入境人数分别减少6%与4%。4月，太平洋地区多数小岛屿目的地的入境人数均较去年同期均有下降。5月间，除增长明显的北马里亚纳、帕劳和图瓦卢以外，太平洋地区其余目的地的入境旅游增长乏力。2010年头五个月，太平洋地区的国际入境人数较去年同期平稳增长两个百分点。
