在古晋婆罗洲会展中心举行的亚太旅游协会（PATA）第59届全体会员年度会议（AGM）上，PATA首席执行官格雷格•达菲尔向与会的PATA会员代表做了工作报告。格雷格对未来一年协会的发展表示乐观。他指出，2009年推行的成本控制政策改善了协会的财政状况。 在会籍建设方面，目前，PATA管理层和员工都积极参与到会籍推广工作中来。该项举措已初见成效，令人欣喜的是，已有越来越多的业界新会员加入了PATA大家庭。 达菲尔还在会议中正式宣布，PATA成立60周年庆典活动将于2011年在中国首都北京隆重举行，而2011PATA旅游交易会则落户印度德里。
除旅游交易会外，协会今年的主要活动还包括与世界旅游组织在广州联合举办的世界旅游日（9月27日）纪念活动和将于桂林举办的“旅游趋势与展望国际论坛”。
