PATA积极推动亚太地区医疗旅游发展

        PATA已同国际医疗旅游协会（IMTA）确立合作关系，共同促进亚太地区医疗旅行及旅游业的发展。双方于日前签署了谅解备忘录，旨在寻求相关领域的合作机会，例如医疗旅游业的趋势和数据分析，以及探索构建联合会员制的可能性。 医疗旅游被公认为一项高收益的专项细分市场，医疗游客愿意在目的地停留更长时间，其消费也更高。国际医疗旅游协会主席鲁本•图拉评价说，“由于拥有完善的医院和旅游基础设施，亚洲的医疗旅游市场的发展正方兴未艾。与PATA合作能帮助我们将医疗与旅游业界更紧密地联系在一起。”

        去年八月，德勤咨询公司（Deloitte Consulting）预测，到2018年，美国的医疗旅游业有望实现10倍的增长。2007年，约有75万名美国公民走出国门寻求医疗帮助。 PATA已于曼谷时间6月11日上午10点召开了名为“康体旅游的机遇”的在线研讨会。在此次会议上，鲁本•图拉先生作了主题演讲。
